Location
FSRU Toscana is one of Italy’s key infrastructures for the import, storage, and conversion of LNG.
This regasification terminal transforms Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) delivered by carriers, returning it to its gaseous state.
Permanently anchored approximately 22 km off the coast between Livorno and Pisa, the terminal has the following dimensions:
Overall length: 306.49 meters
Width: 48 meters
Height: 26.5 meters

Regasification
FSRU Toscana has a maximum authorized regasification capacity of 5 billion Sm³ per year and a gross storage capacity of 137,100 m³.
The terminal can receive LNG from carriers with capacities ranging between 65,000 and 180,000 m³ (New Panamax class), covering approximately 90% of the current global fleet, with a maximum transfer rate of 12,000 cubic meters per hour.
Thanks to its Wobbe index correction system, the terminal can receive various types of LNG and adjust their specifications accordingly.
SSLNG
The Small-Scale LNG (SSLNG) service allows small LNG carriers to load gas directly from the terminal. This enables them to refuel LNG-powered ships or deliver gas to coastal storage facilities in various Mediterranean ports.
The service is allocated via auction through the Regasification Capacity Allocation Platform (PAR).

Energy security
Since 2013, FSRU Toscana has played a vital role in energy security through its Peak Shaving service.
During winter, the terminal can rapidly regasify stored LNG to meet peak energy demands.
This service is part of the emergency measures established by the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security.
Environment
Built with safe, advanced, and extensively tested technologies, FSRU Toscana minimizes environmental impact.
Its ability to receive various LNG types, combined with a responsible resource management approach, represents a key part of our commitment to enhanced environmental sustainability.
